SPEECH & LANGUAGE TECHNICIAN – PERMANENT POST

To start as soon as possible after interviews

Grade 5 Point 12 – 16 (£23,541 – £27,041 pro rata ) 32 hours per week, term time only

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a Speech and Language Technician, who:

  • Has experience of working in a school
  • Has worked with SEND pupils; particularly those with complex learning needs
  • Could work with any age group within the school
  • Has experience of working within the Speech & Language sector
  • Has experience of leading and managing communication support packages
  • Has experience of leading CPD
  • Is able to work as part of a team

Westcroft School is a day school for up to 180 pupils, aged 5 to 19 years, with Complex Cognitive Difficulties.

Pupils enjoy a rich and varied curriculum, which includes Vocational experiences off site and Outdoor and Adventurous activities. Westcroft is a happy and welcoming school. At Westcroft we want our pupils to reach their potential and appoint staff who are able to support and guide our pupils to this end.

Visits to the school and /or informal discussion with the Headteacher would be welcome.

Cover Supervisor Required (Term Time only)

Fixed Term to 31st August 2021

CLPT 15 – CLPT 22 (£23,541 – £27,041 pro rata) 37 hours per week, term time only

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work as part of our team of teachers and instructors at Wolverhampton Vocational Training Centre.

We provide 16-19 students with an EHCP a range of vocational qualifications including Motor Vehicles, Animal Care, Construction, Childcare and Hair and Beauty alongside Independent Living Skills, Employability and English and Maths

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Level 3 qualification or above (relevant to teaching and learning)
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience of working with SEND students
  • Minimum of 3 years recent and relevant classroom experience working with SEND students
  • Ability and confidence to deliver lessons to pupils aged from 16– 19 years
  • Ability to deliver a range of vocational qualifications at Entry Level/Level 1
  • A relentless drive for excellence.
